1. General Manager - Purchase & Contracts
Position title : General Manager Number of Positions : 01 Location : Nariyara, Near Bilaspur Qualification : BE / B.Tech with experience of minimum 20-25 years of managing Purchase & Contracts functions. Experience in an Operational Power Plant with capacity of more than 1000MW is preferable. Experience : 20 to 25 years Reporting to : Plant Head
Responsibilities:
•
Liaise with the Technical Heads of all disciplines and formulate an Annual Spare Parts procurement Plan in line with the respective Maintenance Plan. Plan includes annual overhauls and capital overhauls.
•
Coordinate finalization of Annual Rate contract for consumables and Annual maintenance contract for plant & machinery.
•
Annual maintenance contracts for critical equipments with the help of HO purchase team
•
Ensure timely resolution of contractual issues if any and yearly reconciliation
•
To initiate the process of Annual Rate contracts and support Head Office to finalize the same for all the spares of high value and consumption e.g.Coal Mill Spares, Ash Handling Plant Spares, Bearings, Chemicals & consumables etc.
•
Oversee contract closing activities.
•
To initiate the process of Service contracts and support Head Office to finalize the same for all the Services e.g.Security Contracts, Firefighting etc. Contracts can be Annual, Capital, Break down related and others.
•
Coordination with HO team regarding minor and major overhauls of the equipment
•
To implement the Reorder level based ordering for all the spares falling in B & C category in consultation with Head-Stores
•
Ensure timely availability of required equipment, material, works and services at right time, price, quality and quantity.
•
Process all the purchase/service indents from site technical team through stores within the agreed time lines and value slabs.
•
Ensure implementation of company's policy related to contracts and materials.
•
To implement the inventory Policy for A, B and C category items in consultation with Head-Stores
•
Coordinate with HO for payment processing against the orders processed from HO
•
Coordinate with site accounts team for release of payment against the orders placed from site
•
To Release and implement the Standard purchasing procedures.
•
Coordinate with stores regarding logistics, material inspection, receipt of material / GRN preparation
•
Coordinate with insurance team for transit insurance and claims of the material
•
Finalization and implementation of Codification system for spares.
•
Forward purchase requisition to Hyderabad office for placement of order if total value exceeds the permissible value sanctioned for the site
•
Prepare monthly MIS reports and exception report, specifically highlighting & escalating (wherever required) the policy related / operational issues to be addressed at the site and providing suggestions wherever necessary.
2. Head - Stores
Position title : Head - Stores Number of Positions : 01 Location : Nariyara, Near Bilaspur Qualification : BE / B.Tech with experience of minimum 20-25 years of managing Stores and Inventory Control functions. Experience in an Operational Power Plant with capacity of 1000MW and above is preferable. Experience : 20 to 25 years Reporting to : Plant Head
Responsibilities:
•
To Liaise with the GM-Purchase and prepare a detailed stores layout plan which should be in line with the Annual Procurement Plan
•
To ensure timely receipts, issues of spares
•
Ensure timely issues of material according to the indent received and as per availability
•
To ensure proper and timely actions in case of rejections, damages, wrong supplies etc.
•
Coordinate with technical / quality team for inspection of material and intimate the purchase team accordingly.
•
Ensure material classification and coding for easy storage and retrieval
•
To ensure proper storage of all the spares resulting into minimizing the retrieval time
•
To monitor weigh bridge operations
•
Monitoring the operation and maintenance of Diesel pump.
•
Ensure timely and accurate coal and fly ash accounting consisting of Receipts, Consumption and Closing stock.
•
Valuation of closing stock based on FIFO and Weighted Average methodology
•
Coordinate with AHP team, Fly ash customers and ensure timely update and record of coal and fly ash receipt and disposals resp.
•
Monitor and reconcile all the materials which are issued on returnable / non-returnable basis
•
To implement the inventory Policy for A, B and C category items in consultation with GM-Purchase
•
To formulate a policy for conducting Physical inventory of all the spares, Coal and Secondary fuels followed by reconciliation of stores’ stock with respect to our accounts . Quarterly reconciliation of Stocks is mandatory.

To Release and implement the Standard Storage procedures of all the spares, chemicals, consumables, explosives, low shelf life items and fuels.
•
Monitor and ensure proper binning and storage processes are adopted
•
To monitor and dispose off the scrap and wastes inclusive of oils appropriately
•
To Monitor and take appropriate actions with respect to slow moving and non-moving items.
•
Highlight to Management on slow moving and non-moving items
•
To implement the Reorder level based ordering for all the spares falling in B & C category in consultation with GM-Purchase
•
To ensure compliance to all the statutory regulations with respect to stores
•
Adherence to organization’s policies, rules and regulations.

Ensure safety norms and safe work practices are adhered to.

3. AVP / Sr. GM - Operations
Position title : AVP / Sr. GM - Operations (Hyderabad) Number of Positions : 01 Location : Hyderabad Qualification : Graduate / Post Graduate in Engineering with minimum of 25 - 30 years of experience in Operations of Power Plants (Coal Based, Lignite Based & Gas Based) Experience : 25 to 30 years Reporting to : President Operations
Responsibilities:
•
To project generation for all operational plants in the Group in advance on a monthly basis with cost thereof and analyse variance thereof for appropriate corrections / decisions.
•
To list all the technical issues in plants, visit the plants for detailed understanding and analyse for design, maintenance or operational parameters and take appropriate decisions and / or put up for approval to management.
•
To have overall understanding and plan appropriate Inventory with optimized cost of fuel, water and consumables to ensure above is achieved.
•
To Create and Review SOPs for all areas of the plant and ensure compliance thereof.
•
To have optimum experienced and trained staff and also plan appropriate training as deemed fit at all levels.
•
To have all the technical issues noticed during operations attended for planned / on line maintenance in planned and timely manner.
•
To ensure in time compliance of all statutory issues.
•
To ensure that service providers are complying to the terms of the contracts and take appropriate steps as required to ensure objectives of contracts are achieved and / or escalate for appropriate decisions

4. Senior General Manager - Maintenance
Position title: Senior General Manager - Maintenance for 3600 MW Power Plant Number of Positions: 01 Location : Nariyara (Near Bilaspur) Qualification: Engineering Graduate with minimum 20 - 25 years of experience in handling maintenance of thermal power plants. (Preferably single unit of 210 MW & above) Experience : 20 to 25 years Reporting to : Head (O&M)
Responsibilities:
•
Review and monitor reliability & availability improvement of the plant through adherence to Preventive and Predictive Maintenance practices in planned and systematic manner.
•
Review and monitor day-to-day maintenance practices. Find out the gap, analyze, suggest and guide the site personnel for improvements.
•
Recommends steps to maximize capacity utilization on daily, monthly & yearly basis for generation of targeted power with adherence to rated operating parameters on daily basis
•
Review compliance of equipment-wise Maintenance schedule at all operating stations.
•
Interacts with operating personnel on critical operating data for variance against rated parameters for initiating corrective actions.
•
Provides expert assistance on trouble-shooting in O&M aspects
•
Initiates methods for betterment of present level of performance of operating plants
•
Reviews and monitors resource availability at different Power Stations and suggests optimum utilization
•
Provides expertise technical assistance in procurement of spares & equipments.

Formulates guidelines for Annual Overhaul of plant. Finalizes scope of works in association with station personnel and monitors execution with time, quality and cost.

5. GM (EFFICIENCY, MIS & BUDGETS)
Position title: GM (EFFICIENCY, MIS & BUDGETS for 3600 MW Power Plant Number of Positions: 01 Location : Nariyara (Near Bilaspur) Qualification: B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical) and preferably ME / MTech with minimum of 20 years of experience. Should have experience of working in a modern thermal power plant and having thorough knowledge in operations & commissioning of a power plant. Should have worked in power plants having minimum unit capacity of 210 MW and above. However the above criterion will not be a constraint for the right candidate Experience : 20 to 25 years Reporting to : Head (O&M)
Responsibilities:
•
Optimization of systems for improvement of heat rate and minimization of losses in the process.
•
Evaluate performance of boiler, turbine, cooling towers, condensers, coal mills, fans, etc.
•
Guide team for using specialized measuring instruments for evaluating plant performance.
•
Coordinate with Operations and maintenance team to suggest remedies improve to improve plant efficiency.

Prepare regular MIS reports and submit to management.

Preparation of annual operational and capex budgets.

Responsibilities:

Prepare energy account (calculation of energy) on weekly basis
•
Billing and reconciliation of energy sent out with SLDC
•
Monthly Billing, based on data of units sent out and SLDC weekly reconciled statement, to the beneficiaries and also arrange for security of payment as per the norms

Power scheduling, Energy accounting preparation

Preparation and entering in contracts for sale of power
•
Provisions of Power purchase Agreements with Beneficiaries
•
O&M Generation plan and Planned Maintenance Schedule
•
Adhere to CERC and GERC guidelines

Prepare Generation Schedule (Declared Capacity)

Communication with RLDC/SLDC and with beneficiaries

Submission of schedule of maintenance and planned outage for the year in advance to the RPC as well as RLDC.

Should have experience of operations in modern thermal power plants and having handled single units of 210 MW and above. Experience : 15 to 18 years Reporting to: Sr. GM / GM - Operations
Responsibilities:
•
To monitor the plant performance in the shift and to ensure power generation as per the target & analyze variance (if any)
•
Plan daily activity to achieve the schedule targets of all units
•
To monitor performance for efficient utilization of resources and ensure desired PLF is achieved
•
Liaise with various agencies for trouble fee operation of plant and intimate top management wherever escalation is required
•
Optimize generation costs through proper load plan for the plant
•
Guide and monitor continual improvement in the operational parameters of plant.
•
Plan and ensure availability of all the inputs for smooth and efficient operation of plant.
•
Coordinate with specialist team/maintenance team s to develop suitable solutions for key issues/problems observed during the operation of plant
•
Ensure schedule, quality, safety and also all the respective provisions are scrupulously implemented in operations activities
•
Ensure all statutory safety standards are followed

8. AGM - Payroll & Data Analytics
Position title: AGM - Payroll & Data Analytics Number of Positions: 01 Location: Hyderabad - HO Qualification: Commerce Graduate / ICWA/CA or PG Work Experience: 15 to 22 years Reporting to: Head - HR
Responsibilities:
Designing, implementing and administering payroll policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely compliance with statutory obligations.
Build and improve on Computing salaries & allowances of employees; making reimbursement input files of medical, LTA & Bonus/PLVP.
Shouldering responsibility of taking valuation from actuaries for gratuity on annual basis for all Group Companies. Spearheading payroll for all Group Companies.
Ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements like maintenance of other statutory registers as per HR Manual, etc.
Extend Support in annual audit and scheduling activities related to closing of accounts keeping in view of the date of presentation of final accounts.
Build on New systems and process to improve on the employee master data management with the required reports in assisting the management timely.
Work with the team and enable creation and updation of employee database of both Direct & Indirect Employees
Monitor and manage the Payroll activities of the department and ensure utmost customer satisfaction
Identify the areas of automation in the respective function and update the Head - IR to take up for necessary approvals

Responsible for data analysis & report generation as per requirement
Structure the employee database and ensure creation of new fields in the employee masters based on business requirements for the required data analytics periodically.

Provide the necessary Analysis and Exception reports as requested by the Head-Payroll time-to-time supported by valid information
Liaise with the Statutory depts related to the payroll related compliances
9. DGM/GM - Coal Quality & Monitoring
Position title : DGM/GM - Coal Quality & Monitoring Number of Positions : 01 Location : Hyderabad - HO Qualification : Graduate/PG / Engineer- Chemistry Work Experience : 15 to 27 years Reporting to : Head - Coal Monitoring at HO
Responsibilities:
Development of Circulars / Policies for overall control on Quality of coal from Linkage/Own mine or purchase from open/Import to bunker of the power plant across all Plants.
Ensure creation of SOP’s and SMPs by the contracting agency responsible for checking quality of coal at the operational plants and approve the same.
Ensure a system of having understanding to all levels as required of accounting for the heat value of coal purchased from various sources and heat value consumed to generate electricity and determine the variation / losses at each stage.
Ensure establishment of state of art laboratory with qualified personnel to have an overall good control of understanding the coal quality for detailed analysis and appropriate steps/ direction and decisions as deemed fit.
To automate the process and systems as required to assistance quicker process and data analysis at appropriate levels and decision making.
Ensure appropriate international standards are followed for the process of collecting and testing the Coal.
Ensure appropriate understanding by all people concerned on the ADB/ARB and AFB concepts and ensure appropriate reconciliation and analysis for timely corrective steps are taken.
Ensure appropriate stacking of coals from various sources with multiple parameters/Heat value to enable minimize the losses during storage and also proper blending process for firing as per design parameters of the boilers.
Ensure appropriate consumption pattern from Stacking to enable minimize loss of quality and quantity.
Ensure periodical visits to mine/Plant across all locations to have overall understanding and control.
Ensure appropriate accounting system of Quality of coal from mine to bunker at the power plant.
To assist other groups in the company by providing data / analysis as required
To recommend to management change method of working as necessary in the overall interest of the business of the group.
10. GM - Coal Logistics
Position title : GM - Coal Logistics ( Nariyara ) Number of Positions : 01 Location : Nariyara , Near Bilaspur - Chhattisgarh Qualification : Engineer / Graduate/PG in MM & Logistics Work Experience : 18 to 27 years Reporting to : Head Logistics at HO
Responsibilities:
Strategic planning and maintain control of the coal availability at the site as per the operational Plans from all sources and thru the possible modes of logistics.
Responsible for end to end logistics of all Sources of coal, for group SPVs, from source till plant, complete execution through site teams, covering all aspects and meeting requirements of coal Quantity, Logistics Quality, Security and Budgeted costs).
Build rapport and maintain healthy relationships with internal stakeholders, Liaisoning with the domestic collieries and mines for coal availability and logistics arrangements.
Establishment of Logistics organization structure, Manpower planning for logistics vertical for each SPV, fulfilment of manpower, training and development. Mentoring, coaching and motivating Site logistics team.
Logistics planning, Budgeting, Cash flows, Finalization of PO/Contracts/Agreements, Enabling resources (manpower as planned, money (payments), materials (sources/ supplies) availability to sites
Contracting and purchase order administration related to logistics function.
Timely interaction and liaisoning with the Coal department and the Govt. official in facilitating smooth logistics operation.
Monitor and control the strategic implementation and execution at site by respective SPV logistics site team.
Circulate data on regular review Updates and MIS to the management and complete
documentation at site
Must Criteria.
Should be familiar with the Railway policies, railway freight procedures, policy updated from time to time.
Should be familiar with the mining rules, supply process in coal logistics/movement.
Hands on experience with the port / road transport / railway contracts/ RCR contracts and documentation.
Understanding on Quality & Quantity of coal (domestic and Imported) approx. 5-10 Million tons volume levels
11. GM/Plant Head - Bikaner

Responsibilities:

Review and finalize annual physical performance targets and O&M budget for station.
To ensure that Plant operational activities are in accordance with the technical parameters, Policies / Guidelines / Systems and procedures laid down by the company and complying laws, orders and directives of Central / State Govt
To review and monitor the performance of O&M Contractor vis-a-vis contract
To ensure power generation as per the target & analyse variance (if any)
To ensure implementation of SOPs, SMP and SCPs for safe Operations, Maintenance and Calibrations.
To work in coordination with contactor to achieve best availability and PLF.
Manage activities related to preparation of internal and external MoU's on generation targets in association with CEA, Finance and Commercial
