1. Plant Head

Position title : Plant Head
Number of Positions : 01
Location : Nariyara, Near Bilaspur
Qualification : Graduate / Post Graduate in Engineering with specialization in Electrical / Mechanical with at-least 20 to 25 years experience in thermal power plant of installed capacity of 1000MW or above in O&M and related areas as Head/Deputy Head of leading power companies / utilities
Experience : 20 to 25 years
Reporting to : President (Operations) at Corporate

Responsibilities:
Assist the President - Operations in developing the strategy for the business aimed at enhancing customer value
Formulation and implementation of operating plan to ensure achievement of business goals and targets

Conduct periodic review of business strategy and identify preventive and corrective action

Continuous improvement of O&M Index like Availability, Reliability, Net Heat Rate by laying down and implementing the various procedures (administrative, technical, safety, training) approved by the management.

Take measures on energy conservation, efficiency as benchmarking project

Plan and obtain budget allocation for operation expenses in different heads and control the expenditure within budget

Ensure cost effective, efficient, safe, reliable generation as per power dispatch schedule with management of technical & administrative issues in O&M

Provide guidance and direction in relation to the day to day operations and maintenance works of power plant and be an active troubleshooter

To ensure excellent upkeep and maintenance of the plant to maximize Plant Availability Factor(PAF) to meet the load demand and Power Load Factor (PLF)

Regular monitoring of generation losses and undertake course corrective actions with least loss of time

Review the performance of outsourced agencies and ensure that they are performing in line with the identified performance parameters as per contract

Regular oversee & direction for reducing plant auxiliary consumption

Monitoring and implementation of defined procedures and systems

Undertake benchmarking activities with the best operating power plants and institutionalize best O&M practices

Promote best practices in safety, hygiene and environmental management

Ensuring regular internal safety audits for the plant

Ensure compliance to Government & Statutory Rules and Regulations and coordination with officials

2. General Manager– Purchase & Contracts

Position title : General Manager
Number of Positions : 01
Location : Nariyara, Near Bilaspur
Qualification : BE / B.Tech with experience of minimum 20-25 years of managing Purchase & Contracts functions. Experience in an Operational Power Plant with capacity of more than 1000MW is preferable.
Experience : 20 to 25 years
Reporting to : Plant Head

Responsibilities:
Liaise with the Technical Heads of all disciplines and formulate an Annual Spare Parts’ procurement Plan in line with the respective Maintenance Plan. Plan includes annual overhauls and capital overhauls.
Coordinate finalization of Annual Rate contract for consumables and Annual maintenance contract for plant & machinery.

Annual maintenance contracts for critical equipments with the help of HO purchase team

Ensure timely resolution of contractual issues if any and yearly reconciliation

To initiate the process of Annual Rate contracts and support Head Office to finalize the same for all the spares of high value and consumption e.g.Coal Mill Spares, Ash Handling Plant Spares, Bearings, Chemicals & consumables etc.

Oversee contract closing activities.

To initiate the process of Service contracts and support Head Office to finalize the same for all the Services e.g.Security Contracts, Firefighting etc. Contracts can be Annual, Capital, Break down related and others.

Coordination with HO team regarding minor and major overhauls of the equipment

To implement the Reorder level based ordering for all the spares falling in B & C category in consultation with Head-Stores

Ensure timely availability of required equipment, material, works and services at right time, price, quality and quantity.

Process all the purchase/service indents from site technical team through stores within the agreed time lines and value slabs.

Ensure implementation of company’s policy related to contracts and materials.

To implement the inventory Policy for A, B and C category items in consultation with Head-Stores

Coordinate with HO for payment processing against the orders processed from HO

Coordinate with site accounts team for release of payment against the orders placed from site

To Release and implement the Standard purchasing procedures.

Coordinate with stores regarding logistics, material inspection, receipt of material / GRN preparation

Coordinate with insurance team for transit insurance and claims of the material

Finalization and implementation of Codification system for spares.

Forward purchase requisition to Hyderabad office for placement of order if total value exceeds the permissible value sanctioned for the site

Prepare monthly MIS reports and exception report, specifically highlighting & escalating (wherever required) the policy related / operational issues to be addressed at the site and providing suggestions wherever necessary.


3. Head - Stores

Position title : Head - Stores
Number of Positions : 01
Location : Nariyara, Near Bilaspur
Qualification : BE / B.Tech with experience of minimum 20-25 years of managing Stores and Inventory Control functions. Experience in an Operational Power Plant with capacity of 1000MW and above is preferable.
Experience : 20 to 25 years
Reporting to : Plant Head

Responsibilities:
To Liaise with the GM-Purchase and prepare a detailed stores layout plan which should be in line with the Annual Procurement Plan
To ensure timely receipts, issues of spares

Ensure timely issues of material according to the indent received and as per availability

To ensure proper and timely actions in case of rejections, damages, wrong supplies etc.

Coordinate with technical / quality team for inspection of material and intimate the purchase team accordingly

Ensure material classification and coding for easy storage and retrieval

To ensure proper storage of all the spares resulting into minimizing the retrieval time

To monitor weigh bridge operations

Monitoring the operation and maintenance of Diesel pump.

Ensure timely and accurate coal and fly ash accounting consisting of Receipts, Consumption and Closing stock.

Valuation of closing stock based on FIFO and Weighted Average methodology

Coordinate with AHP team, Fly ash customers and ensure timely update and record of coal and fly ash receipt and disposals resp.

Monitor and reconcile all the materials which are issued on returnable / non-returnable basis

To implement the inventory Policy for A, B and C category items in consultation with GM-Purchase

To formulate a policy for conducting Physical inventory of all the spares, Coal and Secondary fuels followed by reconciliation of stores’ stock with respect to our accounts . Quarterly reconciliation of Stocks is mandatory.

To Release and implement the Standard Storage procedures of all the spares, chemicals, consumables, explosives, low shelf life items and fuels.

Monitor and ensure proper binning and storage processes are adopted

To monitor and dispose off the scrap and wastes inclusive of oils appropriately

To Monitor and take appropriate actions with respect to slow moving and non-moving items.

Highlight to Management on slow moving and non-moving items

To implement the Reorder level based ordering for all the spares falling in B & C category in consultation with GM-Purchase

To ensure compliance to all the statutory regulations with respect to stores

Adherence to organization’s policies, rules and regulations

Ensure safety norms and safe work practices are adhered to.
Assist in preparation of revenue and capital budget for the Department


4. Head – Mechanical Maintenance

Position title : Head – Mechanical Maintenance
Number of Positions : 01
Location : Nariyara, Near Bilaspur
Qualification : Engineering Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 22 - 25 years with thermal units of plus 210 MW capacity. Preferably should be currently functioning as the Department Head for Mechanical Maintenance.
Experience : 20 to 25 years
Reporting to : Dy. Plant Head

Responsibilities:
Ensure highest availability of the Mechanical Equipment and systems
Ensure prompt response to plant operational  needs

Minimize response time and ensure optimum mean time between failure (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR)

Carry out breakdown analysis and ensuring minimization of breakdown losses.

Provide expert assistance on trouble-shooting during equipment breakdown

Plan and implement Short term, Long term maintenance and unit overhaul as per schedules.

To implement measures/initiatives for improving efficiency of the mechanical equipment in coordination with efficiency team, operations team and maintenance planning team

Review and monitor maintenance contract activities  vis-à-vis contract

Regularly monitor consumption of mechanical spares and consumables and to keep track of inventory required for mechanical maintenance activities of the power plant

Provide expertise and technical assistance in procurement of spares & equipments

Validation of technical specifications and finalization for spare parts development indigenously.

Development of SMP and compliance to SMPs

Ensuring Work execution as per  OEM guidelines / good engineering practices

Knowledge of modern maintenance system and implementation of computerized maintenance management system

Ensure maximum possible use of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)  / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

Ensure Regular updation and Preservation of Maintenance record

Ensure compliance to statutory requirements as applicable

5. Head Maintenance – Control & Instrumentation

Position title : Head Maintenance – Control & Instrumentation

Qualification : Engineering Graduate in Electronics & Telecommunication / Control & Instrumentation   with minimum 22 - 25 years with thermal units of plus 210 MW capacity. Preferably should be currently working as the Departmental Head.

Responsibilities:
Ensure highest availability of the C&I Equipment and systems
Ensure prompt response to plant operational  needs

Minimize response time and ensure optimum mean time between failure (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR)

Provide expert assistance for correction and intelligent control system

Plan and implement Short term and Long term maintenance schedules.

To implement measures/initiatives for improving efficiency of the C&I equipment in coordination with efficiency team, operations team and maintenance planning team

Review and monitor maintenance contract activities  vis-à-vis contract

Regularly monitor consumption of C&I spares and consumables and to keep track of inventory required for C&I maintenance activities of the power plant

Responsibilities:
To develop innovative HR strategies in alignment with company / group business strategy.
Provide advice, guidance and implementation support on strategies to the HR at HO /  plant locations

Identify change management interventions to align employees to the changing business environment

To foster a performance driven culture by developing and administering an effective Performance Management System (PMS)

Guide and facilitate competency mapping for various key positions

Design and benchmark the Compensation and Benefits structure through periodic surveys

Facilitate effective employee relations & retention through Employee Engagement Initiatives

Devise strategies on people development initiatives in coordination with L&D Department

Oversee and guide teams to ensure  timely submission / completion of legal compliances, various statutory reports & returns

7. Sr. GM / GM – HR

Qualification :Post Graduate with specialization in Human Resource with minimum of 20 - 24 years of experience in handling HR and IR in manufacturing sector.
Experience : 20 to 24 years
Reporting to : VP – HR @ Nariyara

Responsibilities:
To provide strategic input to develop and strengthen HR processes and sub processes for plant operations
Coordinate with VP – HR, Plant Head and other Heads to recruit the right manpower at the right time thereby ensuring zero down time of operations.

To proactively work to create a harmonious & congenial working environment by addressing IR issues thereby ensuring zero down time of operations

Ensure completion of on-boarding processes including induction programmes for all new joinees

Ensure deployment of right persons for the posts by the O&M contractors

To motivate and retain manpower with appropriate employee engagement programs

To foster and drive a performance driven culture through implementation of the PMS system

Shall be responsible for proper implementation of the O&M contract with respect to HR issues

Design strategies on people development initiatives

Implement HR policies and procedures of the organization at the Plant to  achieve business goals and objectives

Identify training and development needs of the team members and plan their training and development and follow up implementation.

Enable the team to perform effectively by delegating / assisting / guiding / counseling / developing team members.

Monitor the status of employee relations in the Department and initiate pre-emptive action to maintain satisfactory / harmonious employee relations.

8. AVP / Sr. GM – Operations

Position title : AVP / Sr. GM – Operations (Hyderabad)

Qualification : Graduate / Post Graduate in Engineering with minimum of 25 - 30 years of experience in Operations of Power Plants (Coal Based, Lignite Based & Gas Based)
Experience : 25 to 30 years
Reporting to : President Operations

Responsibilities:
To project generation for all operational plants in the Group in advance on a monthly basis with cost thereof and analyse variance thereof for appropriate corrections / decisions.
To list all the technical issues in plants, visit the plants for detailed understanding and analyse for design, maintenance or operational parameters and take appropriate decisions and / or put up for approval to management.

To have overall understanding and plan appropriate Inventory with optimized cost of fuel, water and consumables to ensure above is achieved.

To Create and Review  SOPs for all areas of the plant and ensure compliance thereof.

To have optimum experienced and trained staff and also plan appropriate training as deemed fit at all levels.

To have all the technical issues noticed during operations attended for planned / on line maintenance in planned and timely manner.

To ensure in time compliance of all statutory issues.

To ensure that service providers are complying to the terms of the contracts and take appropriate steps as required to ensure objectives of contracts are achieved and / or escalate for appropriate decisions

To ensure highest standard of safety, quality and house-keeping is maintained.

To coordinate with business development group for scheduling of Power and also for billing to customers

To Automate processes and systems to facilitate seamless information for appropriate analysis and decisions at all levels

To have an overall understanding of the budget and work with all the teams to ensure that the same is achieved.

To submit MIS Report to Management, Maintenance, Fuel, Logistics, Mining, Commercial, Human Resources, by-products disposal group, Environmental Group specially highlighting key issues requiring appropriate clarification / direction / implementation / approval.

To have a clarity on delegation of powers entrusted and also have budget in place for smooth functioning of the department


9. GM – HR & IR

Position title : GM – HR & IR (Bikaner)

Qualification : Post Graduate with specialization in Human Resource with minimum of 20 - 24 years of experience in handling HR and IR in manufacturing sector
Experience : 20 to 24 years
Reporting to : Administratively to Plant Head and Functionally to VP – HR at HO

To proactively work with related stake holders to take care of congenial working environment

Ensure completion of on-boarding processes including induction programmes for all new joinees

Ensure statutory compliances are followed for indirect employment for site

Responsibilities:
Energy Billing and follow up for payments, computation of variable cost/pass through items - All operating plants.

Energy Balancing & Settlement Reconciliation with customers/Grid

Reconciliation of deemed demand/transmission charges/wheeling charges vis a vis the Power Delivery Agreements.

Preparation of Budget and submission to Head Operations for review and finalization–Operating Plants

Monitoring of the approved Budget and circulation of deviations vis a vis the approvals and budget.

Accounting of incidence of Load Management and intimation to Accounts

Agenda for Operation Group Review Meetings by coordinating with site and getting the requisite data.

Data circulation for note to the Board –Operations Group

Settlement of Take or pay obligations/supply or pay obligations with customers, suppliers, besides reconciliation of O&M Guarantees – Operating Plants

Statutory Compliance – Permits & Clearances

12. Sr. GM / GM (Commissioning)

Position title: Sr. GM / GM (Commissioning) for 3600 MW Power Plant
Number of Positions: 01
Location : Nariyara (Near Bilaspur)
Qualification: B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical) with minimum of 20 years of experience. Should have experience of commissioning modern thermal power plants and having handled single units of 210 MW and above. However the experience will not be a constraint for the right candidate. Should have worked in operations (to a maximum duration). Exposure to maintenance and erection activities will be an added advantage. Thorough knowledge or Power plant chemistry.
Experience : Minimum 20 years
Reporting to : Plant Head

Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate and implement the commissioning procedures for all the equipment in the plant.
Finalise the commissioning procedure with judgement and wisdom as being received from suppliers and manufacturers and finalise the same.
Able to make a thorough check list, protocols and should have good exposure on different standards of ASME / IS related to plant O&M.
Lead a team of commissioning engineers in all the disciplines.
Commissioning of HV / EHV equipment like transformers, breakers, generators, switchyard and control system.
Coordinate and handle activities for boiler chemical cleaning, steam blowing, etc.
Should have good understanding of Power plant efficiencies.
Commissioning of DCS, coordinator control, cabling, field instruments, batteries, UPS, etc.
Ensure safety standards are according to regulatory norms are followed.
Carry out the verification of operation parameters and the conformance of these parameters to the rated values, analyzes and takes corrective actions in case of any deviations.
Review and finalize the PG test procedure.
Liaison with vendors to clarify issues and exceptions.
Build team for the Commissioning section and to be part of the interview panel for recruitment of the team.


13. Senior General Manager - Maintenance

Position title: Senior General Manager - Maintenance for 3600 MW Power Plant
Number of Positions: 01
Location : Nariyara (Near Bilaspur)
Qualification: Engineering Graduate with minimum 20 - 25 years of experience in handling maintenance of thermal power plants. (Preferably single unit of 210 MW & above)
Experience : 20 to 25 years
Reporting to : Head (O&M)

Responsibilities:
Review and monitor reliability & availability improvement of the plant through adherence to Preventive and Predictive Maintenance practices in planned and systematic manner.
Review and monitor day-to-day maintenance practices. Find out the gap, analyze, suggest and guide the site personnel for improvements.
Recommends steps to maximize capacity utilization on daily, monthly & yearly basis for generation of targeted power with adherence to rated operating parameters on daily basis
Review compliance of equipment-wise Maintenance schedule at all operating stations.
Interacts with operating personnel on critical operating data for variance against rated parameters for initiating corrective actions.
Provides expert assistance on trouble-shooting in O&M aspects
Initiates methods for betterment of present level of performance of operating plants
Reviews and monitors resource availability at different Power Stations and suggests optimum utilization
Provides expertise technical assistance in procurement of spares & equipments.
Formulates guidelines for Annual Overhaul of plant. Finalizes scope of works in association with station personnel and monitors execution with time, quality and cost.
Conducts failure analysis & initiate measures to reduce outages through operating personnel
Review and monitor consumption of spares and consumables
Participate in annual O&M Budget finalization.
Prepare relevant reports for giving the plant performance to the top management

Qualification: B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical) and preferably ME / MTech with minimum of 20 years of experience. Should have experience of working in a modern thermal power plant and having thorough knowledge in operations & commissioning of a power plant. Should have worked in power plants having minimum unit capacity of 210 MW and above. However the above criterion will not be a constraint for the right candidate

Optimization of systems for improvement of heat rate and minimization of losses in the process.

Responsibilities:
To carry out all the works related to Permits and Clearances and develop rapport with the persons at helm of affairs in Government & Non – Government agencies / departments who may have direct or indirect influence on the execution of Power Project & Allied projects including mining.

To facilitate obtaining various approvals / clearances / renewals for timely development and operation of Main Power Plant, Railways, Water Resources Department , Power Evacuation and Mining.

Permits & Clearances relating to:

 

• Land including ROU/ROW required for the scope of project for Power Plant & Mining.

 

• Water allocation and permission for construction of water facilities.

 

• Power Evacuation transmission approvals for transmissions & distribution of power.

 

• Railways connectivity permission including construction of railway siding.

 

• To facilitate, develop & maintain relations with external agencies including various State & Central Government Offices

To provide weekly updates to the Head – Project Support for mid course corrections.

Adherence to Legal and Statutory compliance in discharge of responsibilities.

Qualification: Graduate / PG with minimum 20 years of experience in related industry in handling land matters (acquisition and liaison)

Reporting to : Head - Project Support

Responsibilities:
 To provide support to project land team at site.

Overseeing and monitoring Land Matters for existing and upcoming projects (Power Plants/ / Mines/Railways/ WRD/ Power Evacuation and Others.

To Oversee completion of entire land purchase / acquisition / allotment of both private / Forest and government land for the project (s) are done on time

Shall act as SPOC for all matters related to Land across the country for various thermal projects (current & future).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversees/ Monitors execution of land Acquisition or Direct Purchase or Allotment or ROW or ROU or Surface Rights, as applicable from case to case

Reviews and monitors all the activities carried out at site (s) within approved budget and time.

Prioritize the order in which the land is to be purchased/ Acquired/ Allotted in consultation with the respective Project Head / Functional Head. To review the same constantly and revise to facilitate construction progress on ground.

Ensure the teams achieve quantitative, qualitative and time-based targets.

Oversees execution of Land matters in accordance with the project specifications, Policies / Guidelines / Systems and procedures laid down by the company and complies with laws, rules and directives of Central / State Govt.

Coordinates on all matters relating to land with various HOD's concerned.

Enables Site Land Acquisition Head (s) / Team (s) in the execution of Land Acquisition and related permits & clearances.

Reviews and scrutinizes related documents (Land matters).

To conduct Land audit and ensure compliance.

Formulation in consultation with the Legal team and Management on the strategy to be adopted for Land purchase/ Acquisition.

Responsibilities:
 Prepare energy account (calculation of energy) on weekly basis

 Billing and reconciliation of energy sent out with SLDC

  Monthly Billing, based on data of units sent out and SLDC weekly reconciled statement, to the beneficiaries and also arrange for security of payment as per the norms

  Power scheduling, Energy accounting preparation

  Preparation and entering in contracts for sale of power

  Provisions of Power purchase Agreements with Beneficiaries

  O&M Generation plan and Planned Maintenance Schedule

  Adhere to CERC and GERC guidelines
  Prepare Generation Schedule (Declared Capacity)
  Communication with RLDC/SLDC and with beneficiaries
  Submission of schedule of maintenance and planned outage for the year in advance to the RPC as well as RLDC.
  Monitor and comply with regulatory requirements as notified from time to time by CERC/GERC
  Declare the daily generation schedule to the Regional/State Load Dispatch Centre based on inputs
  given by the O&M regarding technical capacity of the plant and Fuel group assessment regarding availability of fuel daily basis
 Annual Generation target reports and LGBR reports on quarterly basis to WRPC and CEA
 Meter Details report to GETCO and SLDC

Responsibilities:

To monitor the plant performance in the shift and to ensure power generation as per the target & analyze variance (if any)
Plan daily activity to achieve the schedule targets of all units
To monitor performance for efficient utilization of resources and ensure desired PLF is achieved
Liaise with various agencies for trouble fee operation of plant and intimate top management wherever escalation is required

Optimize generation costs through proper load plan for the plant

Guide and monitor continual improvement in the operational parameters of plant.
Plan and ensure availability of all the inputs for smooth and efficient operation of plant.
Coordinate with specialist team/maintenance team s to develop suitable solutions for key issues/problems observed during the operation of plant
Ensure schedule, quality, safety and also all the respective provisions are scrupulously implemented in operations activities
Ensure all statutory safety standards are followed
To ensure that Plant operational activities are in accordance with the technical parameters, Policies / Guidelines / Systems and procedures laid down by the company and complying laws, orders and directives of Central / State Govt.

Reporting to: Sr. GM / GM – Operations

Responsibilities:

To monitor AHP operations including Pumps / ash disposal / ESP and bag filters / pipe line / Ash dyke)
To ensure all desk parameters like are within prescribed limits
To coordinate with Operations team to minimize idle running of the system
To ensure smooth operations from ash collection, storage and disposal to transport vehicles

To coordinate with outsourcing agencies and ensure timely completion of work allocated

Monitor day to day activities of Outsourced agencies at AHP area
Guide and monitor continual improvement in the operational parameters of AHP.
Plan and ensure availability of all the inputs for smooth and efficient operation of AHP
Implement improvements suggested by efficiency cell to improve the operational parameters of the plant
Coordinate with specialist team/maintenance team s to develop suitable solutions for key issues/problems observed during the operation of plant
Guide the team in addressing regular operation problems/ issues wherever required
To coordinate with maintenance team to ensure timely rectification of equipment breakdown
To periodically monitor the condition of Ash handling system and take corrective action wherever required
To coordinate timely completion of preventive maintenance
To assist in addressing any maintenance problems arising.
Optimizing inventory required for operations of the plant
Ensure schedule, quality, safety and also all the respective provisions are scrupulously implemented in operations activities
